1. Who we are

This website, maidstonerubbishclearance.co.uk, is operated by Maidstone Rubbish Clearance ("we", "us"), a rubbish clearance and waste removal service based at 7 Foster Street, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 6NH. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us by phone or WhatsApp on 07544 331123, or by post at the address above.

2. What information we collect

We only collect the information needed to quote for and carry out clearance work:

  • Contact details you give us — your name, phone number and the address where waste needs collecting.
  • Photos of waste you send us by WhatsApp or text when asking for a quote.
  • Basic technical data recorded automatically by our web server, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.

3. How we use it

  • To provide quotes and arrange and complete collections.
  • To keep records of waste transfers as required by environmental law.
  • To keep the website secure and understand how it is used.

4. Lawful bases

We rely on contract (taking steps to provide a service you have asked for), legal obligation (waste transfer record-keeping) and legitimate interests (running and protecting our business and website) under UK GDPR.

5. Who we share it with

We never sell your information. It may be shared only with:

  • Our website hosting provider, who stores server logs.
  • Meta (WhatsApp) when you choose to contact us through WhatsApp — their own privacy policy also applies.
  • Licensed waste and recycling facilities, where addresses appear on waste transfer documentation.
  • Regulators such as the Environment Agency where the law requires it.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiry details and job photos: up to 24 months after our last contact.
  • Waste transfer records: at least 2 years, as required by law.
  • Server logs: rotated automatically by our hosting provider.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal information we hold about you, object to our use of it, or ask for it in a portable format. Contact us on 07544 331123 or by post to exercise any of these rights. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

8. Cookies

This website does not set any non-essential cookies. There is no checkout, no user accounts, no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies. Third-party content we embed — such as Google Fonts — may involve requests to those services; it is loaded for functional reasons only.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
